Westfield Stratford City - Where East Meets Westfield

Tuesday the 13th of September saw the opening of the long awaited Westfield Stratford City. Many queued the night before to cash in on the free goodies and discounts the the shopping centre was offering. The Westfield Stratford is the largest  urban shopping centre in the whole of Europe with 300 stores, located in the heart of the London Olympic city providing an enjoyable experience for tourists and locals within the area. As well the convenient location the centre provided thousandths of jobs, helping the unemployed and regenerating the area. As a new landmark area the centre did not disappoint with 5000 parking spaces a casino, two hotels and Stratford square yet to be built it is a must see, and also not forgetting the bridge connecting the old and the new Stratford creating a beautiful urban juxtaposition. If the surrounding area was not hype enough the interior fittings and windows were to die for. Every store seemed to have a unique set of mannequins which were eye catching, all the latest AW11 collections usually found in London's West End was right here a stones throw a way. Some shops are still yet to be open within the centre. All the stores seemed to be the new flagships stores vying for attention from the shoppers. If not just for the shopping experience the architecture and interior architecture is enough to catch the eye of anyone.
