Doshi Levien

Today we focus our attention on Doshi Levien, unusal name for some unusual furniture pieces.  Casually flicking through the Design Junction broschure we spotted 'Beautiful Backside' as its so casually named. It comprises of a mixture of different shaped cusions with a mixture of material. Beautiful handstiched and crafted. The seating collection was designed for Moroso and launched during Salone 08 in Milan. The collection was inspired by the minature painting of Maharini sitting amongst an assortement of cushions.

Brand concept: Celebrates the hybrid and explores the coming together of cultures, technology, story telling, industrial design and fine craftsmanship.
