Central St Martins move to Kings Cross
Whilst modelling at a show I couldn't help noticing the architecture. The site was huge 67 acres of a Grade II listed warehouse to be precise. Central St martins the well established University is out growing its many sites and needs to house the artists and designers of the future under one roof. The whole of Kings Cross is being regenerated into an Art hub, which would be great for the run down squalid area. Architect Richard Wardle of Stanton Williams had been working closely with CSM to include everything they need. The beauty of the scheme is the rich historic concrete juxtaposed against new contemporary buildings. Moving CSM also has its risks as CSM has established links with the industry within the West End and local suppliers, however they hope to establish this in Kings Cross. I throughly enjoyed wondering around the site and I hope you enjoy the images I snapped along the way.

Sandhurst Tacama Miggins
I first came across this model whilst watching a rerun of Make me a Supermodel, I was disappointed to find out that it was a rerun because I really enjoyed watching the show. Sandhurst came first runner up.
Sandhurst was named after Sandhurst British Royal Military Academy, and is originally from Trinidad & Tobago. What makes Sanhurst unusual is that is a professional dancer, he studied ballet and African dance, which explains his incredible physique. Sandhurst signed with New York Model Management and since then has featured in various fashions both in the Caribbean and America, and still has Tyson Beckford as his mentor.

Update
So Its December, so I figured its time for an update. I've been very busy, things are looking up. both career prospects in design and modelling.. In terms of modelling I have been doing a lot of catwalk as that is what I want to specialise as I think I am best suited for catwalk, i'm really enjoying it, watching a show and being backstage is totally different. I've also made quite a few contacts by just networking at shows and events. To show my diversity as a model, I would also like to do some commercial and editorial shoots, which I shall continue in the new year.
The world works in a strange ways because I am currently a design intern, and I have been offered a position of a junior designer which I have proudly accepted, I was over the moon. Working in a design practice is completely different from being in university. University is a place for theory and historical information placing this in to design is a different story in the real world. I am thoroughly enjoying working. As I will be working full time I will need balance design and modelling I plan to do this by booking days of for shows that will incur exposure.

London Underground
I donk know why but lately I have developed an obsession with London underground Architecture. All of a sudden I will be walking, then my eyes start wondering, then I think to myself this architecture is amazing, I need to blog about. Particularly since I get to travel a lot through out London. Unfortunately for me everytime I want to take pictures my phone battery is dead. However I have collected just a few of the many stations I'm in love from the old to the new. Its the art deco and attention to detail in some of the older stations that mezmorise me. Then theres the contemporary stations created by the god fathers of architecture, its just enough to give me an architecture high.
